When Is the Best Time to Visit?
Although you can visit Kodiak Island year-round, it’s best to come fishing with us anytime from May to September. May through June is our “Trophy King” season, but you’ll also be able to fish for Halibut, Yellow Eye, Black Bass, or Grey Cod.
July is the best month to catch various fish, including King Salmon, Halibut, Ling Cod, Gray Cod, Yellow Eye, and Black Bass. August allows you to catch 15-pound Silver Salmon along with Halibut, Ling Cod, Gray Cod, Yellow Eye, and Black Bass.
September is a great time to end the summer as the silvers are hot in the saltwater, and the rivers have great action for fly or spin rod.
